As the narrator begins to sing the opening lines of the beloved poem, we see the peaceful house. Santa arrives on the roof, slides down the chimney, and opens his bag. One by one, the toys emerge, adorning the tree with their festive spirit—toy soldiers fire from their cannons, a toy airplane drapes a garland like a skywriter, and toy firemen sprinkle snow. A blimp brings the star to crown the tree. While Santa stuffs the stockings, his hearty laughter rouses the children, who quietly tiptoe out. The toys hastily return to their spots, and Santa makes a quick getaway up the chimney just in time.
