Plot

Ben, an 11-year-old facing the loss of his village to mining, struggles to adapt to his new school and city. Bullied and isolated, he secretly revisits his abandoned home. His passion for football is challenged when he meets Tariq, a talented 12-year-old Syrian refugee. When bureaucratic hurdles prevent Tariq from playing, he goes missing, prompting Ben to search for him. Through their shared experiences of loss and longing for family, the boys transform their initial rivalry into a deep friendship, discovering solace and understanding on and off the football field.
