True Fiction (2018)

Plot

Kyung-suk, on the brink of becoming mayor thanks to his influential father-in-law, seeks refuge at a cottage owned by his wife to conceal a slush fund. Accompanied by his mistress Ji-young, he encounters Soon-tae, the self-proclaimed groundskeeper. As paranoia about his affair grows, a series of misfortunes ensue, including a framing for drunk driving and a hit-and-run. Desperate to escape the chaos, Kyung-suk finds himself cornered by Soon-tae, who reveals knowledge about his family ties, hinting at a deeper, more sinister connection that threatens to unravel his carefully constructed life.
