Dot and the Bunny (1983)

Plot

Determined to reunite a lost joey with its mother, Dot sets off into the bush. Along her journey, she encounters a playful rabbit who insists he is the joey she's searching for. Amused by his antics, Dot affectionately names him 'Funny Bunny'. As they search together, Dot uncovers the heartbreaking truth about Funny Bunny’s past—his family was taken by hunters, leaving him isolated. Eventually, they locate the mother kangaroo, who, although still searching for her joey, recognizes in Funny Bunny a new companion in need of care and love.
