Plot

A poignant journey unfolds as 12-year-old Lamya, a Syrian refugee, escapes her war-torn homeland. Gifted a poetry book by the legendary 13th-century poet Rumi, she discovers a magical connection that transcends time. As Lamya navigates the dangers of her perilous journey, she enters a dreamlike realm where she meets a young Rumi, also fleeing violence. Together, they confront the haunting monsters from their lives, and Lamya must guide Rumi to discover his purpose and compose the poem that will ultimately ensure her survival eight centuries later.
