Plot

The Summit explores the harrowing events of the 2008 K2 disaster, directed by Nick Ryan. Blending documentary footage with dramatized reenactments, it recounts the tragic tale of eleven climbers who perished during a critical period on the mountain, marking one of climbing history's most devastating incidents. Swedish mountaineer Fredrik Sträng captured much of the documentary footage while attempting to summit K2, ultimately abandoning his own documentary project when he failed to reach the top.
