Plot

Set in Munich during 1955, former film icon Veronika Voss finds herself ensnared in addiction, reliant on the unscrupulous Dr. Marianne Katz for her morphine supply. When she crosses paths with sports journalist Robert Krohn, Veronika reignites her aspirations for a comeback in the film industry. As their romance deepens, she becomes increasingly determined to reclaim her place in the limelight, only to confront the harsh reality of her deteriorating health due to her drug dependency.
