Plot

Following his father's sudden passing, Daniel Rimsdale abandons his medical studies to return to Chippewa Valley, determined to rescue the struggling family lumber operation and avert financial disaster for his loved ones. However, he faces fierce opposition from Silas Lynch, a former friend of his father, who is hell-bent on claiming the Rimsdale estate and the hidden treasure believed to be within its walls.
