Plot

In the picturesque landscapes of rural Hawai’i, Chaperone tells the story of Misha, a 29-year-old with little ambition, who unexpectedly becomes entangled with a charismatic 18-year-old athlete. The young athlete mistakenly believes Misha is a high school peer, leading her into a thrilling yet perilous acceptance that challenges her view of herself and her life. With an all AANHPI cast, the film explores themes of identity and self-discovery against the vibrant backdrop of island life.
