Plot
An unscrupulous property developer has plans to demolish a street for new constructions. While George Roper, a homeowner, is tempted by the financial offer and ready to accept it, his wife Mildred and their lodgers rally alongside other residents to oppose the development. United in their fight, they stand firm against the pressures of change, determined to preserve their community and way of life. As tensions escalate, the residents must navigate the challenges posed by greed and corporate ambition, ultimately discovering the strength of solidarity.
