Plot

On a sweltering summer day in 1933 South Philadelphia, 12-year-old Gennaro navigates life with his widowed mother and ailing grandfather. The elderly man clings to a precious quarter he's promised Gennaro, who dreams of using it for a ticket to the newly opened movie theater. However, grandpa isn't ready to part with his treasure or depart from life just yet. He has unfinished business with a long-lost love and recruits Gennaro to help him reconnect, leading to heartfelt adventures that explore family bonds and the passage of time.
