Plot

Mabel follows Callie, a girl who finds companionship only in the plants and trees near her home. When her father’s job relocates the family to a bland suburban neighborhood, she feels completely alone—save for her beloved potted plant, Mabel. To Callie, Mabel is not just a plant; she’s a friend, a living presence that, while often unnoticed, shares in Callie's experiences and emotions.
