Plot

Seventeen-year-old Sonya, a Russian immigrant, navigates life in a cramped Brooklyn apartment alongside her father and his ever-expanding collection of cats. As their landlady threatens eviction, Sonya faces an impossible choice to safeguard both her elderly father and their precarious living situation. The struggle for stability and the bond between father and daughter become central themes as she contemplates the lengths to which she will go to preserve their home and family.
