Plot
A Russian ballet dancer, who had defected to the West, finds himself in a precarious situation after his plane goes down in Siberia. Captured by the KGB, he faces pressure to return to the Kirov Academy of Ballet. Unwilling to surrender his freedom, he forms a bond with an African American expatriate and his expectant Russian wife. Together, they devise a daring plan to help him reach the American Embassy, navigating the dangers of Soviet surveillance and their own personal struggles along the way.
