Forgive – Don’t Forget explores the intricate ties between contrasting cultures and highlights the significance of memory. Following Japan's surrender to the U.S. in World War II, many Japanese swords were seized and brought to America. While these swords symbolized wartime conflict, they also represent Japan's profound historical and spiritual legacy. To foster understanding and bridge the cultural divide, an American filmmaker embarks on a journey to return one of these confiscated swords to its rightful owner, aiming to reconcile the past and promote healing between nations.
