Set in mid-19th century St. Petersburg, "Oblomov" follows the lethargic Oblomov, a middle-aged man who spends his days in a haze of dreams about his idyllic childhood on his family's estate, accompanied only by his devoted servant, Zakhar. His life takes a turn when his dynamic friend Stoltz invites him into his bustling social circle and introduces him to the enchanting Olga. After Stoltz departs for a few months, Oblomov moves to a country house near Olga, who is determined to inspire him to embrace a more active and cultured life. As their romance blossoms, the dynamics of friendship and love become complicated with Stoltz's presence lingering.
