Plot
Mahmud Nasir, a somewhat secular Muslim living in a London suburb, juggles family life with his wife Saamiya and their two children, Rashid and Nabi. When Rashid plans to marry Uzma, the daughter of controversial cleric Arshad Al-Masri, Mahmud feels pressured to win Arshad's approval, despite his own lack of religious fervor. While sorting through his late mother's belongings, Mahmud uncovers a shocking secret—he was adopted and is actually of Jewish descent, born Solly Shimshillewitz. This revelation sends him on an unexpected journey of identity and self-discovery.
