Plot
Carla, a spirited 14-year-old, rebels against authority while living with her young single mother in a small-town restaurant. Her carefree days of skipping school with her friend Efraín come to an abrupt halt when a social worker discovers she’s five months pregnant. Carla is sent to ‘La Maternal,’ a facility for teenage mothers, where she joins others facing similar challenges. Amidst the trials of motherhood, these young women begin to navigate the complexities of their unexpected adult lives, learning to adapt and grow as they embrace their new realities.
