Plot

Genie Burns, the creative force behind Surprise Enterprise, specializes in outlandish surprise parties held in unexpected venues. While she thrives on taking risks in her professional life, her romantic choices are far more cautious. Her best friend Steven, who is openly gay, keeps things light and humorous as he points out her flaws. Meanwhile, college buddy Danny seems like the ideal match, yet she stubbornly keeps him in the friend zone. Enter Jeff, the type of man she usually avoids.
