Plot
Set in 1960s rural Spain, Paco and Régula struggle to make ends meet as tenant farmers for a wealthy landowner. Their meager existence is further complicated by their three children, one of whom faces developmental challenges, while the others are forced to forgo schooling to contribute to the family’s labor. When Régula's brother loses his job after 61 years, he moves in with them, adding to their burdens. This poignant narrative critiques the oppressive traditions of Spanish rural life, highlighting the harsh realities faced by those trapped in a cycle of poverty.
