Wiz's Weekender (1992) broke new ground with its innovative storytelling and bold themes, tackling societal issues that mainstream outlets preferred to sensationalize. As a result, the film received an 18 certificate and was banned by BBC and ITV, keeping it from a broader audience. Over the past thirty years, it has cultivated a dedicated cult following and inspired numerous creators. In celebration of its thirtieth anniversary, filmmakers Tabitha Denholm and Adam Dunlop conducted interviews with those connected to the project, forming the foundation of I Am Weekender, a documentary that explores its lasting impact.
