Plot

In the summer of 1966, Pauline Cox accompanies Mike Robins to a cricket match in Charthurst Green, Kent. Bored, she wanders to the nearby railway station, where the eccentric, hunchbacked station master entertains her with tea. Her visit takes a dark turn when his assistant, Ewen, brutally kills a rabbit in front of her. Attempting to return to the match, Pauline is confronted by Ewen in an apple orchard, where his violent advances lead to a struggle. Tragically, she is strangled, and the station master conspires to conceal the crime by hiding her body in the orchard.
