Plot

Set in 1482 Paris, Chief Justice Frollo becomes obsessed with the enchanting Romani girl, Esmeralda. Quasimodo, the hunchbacked bell-ringer of Notre Dame and Frollo's ward, enjoys a solitary existence high above the city until Frollo's dark desires entangle him in a dangerous scheme. Believing Esmeralda's beauty to be a curse, Frollo seeks to rid himself of her influence, viewing her as a threat to his authority. As tensions rise, Quasimodo must navigate loyalty, love, and the sinister machinations of his guardian.
