Plot

Moscow burns as the Rostov family flees their estate, unknowingly carrying wounded soldiers and Andrei with them. Disguised as a peasant, Pierre attempts to assassinate Napoleon but ends up captured. He endures months as a prisoner with the Grande Armée until a raiding party rescues him. Meanwhile, Kutuzov's forces decisively defeat the French at the Battle of Krasnoi. After being recognized, Andrei returns to his estate, where he forgives Natasha on his deathbed. As the city begins its reconstruction, she and Pierre reunite and ultimately marry, symbolizing hope amid turmoil.
