Plot

This is the tale of the adventurous German Princess Liselotte, who reluctantly agrees to marry Philippe, the Duke of Orleans, at her father's urging. Upon her arrival, she faces the disdain of Philippe and his court, particularly from his mistress, Palatine, who openly boasts about her relationship with him. However, Liselotte employs her wit and feminine allure to gradually win over the court and even capture her husband’s heart. Yet, as she rises in favor, enemies conspire against her, weaving a web of deceit and treachery.
