Plot

Set in 1973, Dursun Çavuş is a humble postman from Adıyaman whose life takes a turn when his son Abuzer becomes enamored with the mayor's daughter, Reşat Ağa. Tensions arise between Dursun and Ağa, prompting his wife Server and supportive friends to encourage him to retire from his job and contest for the mayoral position. As Dursun embarks on his campaign, he gains the unwavering support of the townspeople. Despite their optimism, Dursun ultimately falls victim to a political ploy and loses the election by a mere three votes.
