Plot
Vienna in 1920 bears little resemblance to the city Peter Perg once knew, having transformed dramatically after the fall of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Returning from the Great War, he finds a republic marked by social upheaval and rising unemployment. As former comrades begin to turn up dead, Perg, haunted by personal connections to the victims, feels compelled to seek justice. Partnering with the astute forensic doctor Theresa Körner, their investigation plunges them into the city’s darkest underbelly, revealing a brutal killer and deep-seated corruption within the police. Perg soon faces a life-altering moral crisis as danger encroaches.
