Mickey's Good Deed (1932)

Plot

Mickey stands outside, strumming his standup bass and playing Christmas tunes in hopes of collecting some spare change. Unfortunately, all he receives are useless items like screws and rocks. While performing near a wealthy man's home, a spoiled child inside decides he wants Pluto. Mickey refuses to sell his beloved dog, but when a sleigh accidentally destroys his bass, he sees a house filled with orphans who have no gifts. Feeling generous, Mickey takes on the role of Santa for the kids. Meanwhile, the brat torments Pluto until his father finally intervenes, kicking the dog out and punishing the child. In the end, Mickey and Pluto are joyfully reunited, and hilariously, the spoiled kid has tied the Christmas turkey to Pluto's tail.
