Work (1915)

Plot

Charlie faces a series of comedic mishaps on his way to a wallpapering job with his boss. Upon arrival, they encounter an irate homeowner who's hungry and a frantic wife berating the maid. Just as tensions rise, a gas stove unexpectedly detonates, prompting Charlie to try and repair it. Meanwhile, the wife's clandestine lover shows up, posing as the foreman, but the husband sees through the ruse and reacts violently. Chaos ensues as the stove erupts again, leading to a catastrophic explosion that levels the house.
