Amanda Zurawski faced a life-threatening situation when Texas's stringent abortion laws prevented her from receiving an urgent medical procedure during a complicated pregnancy. This refusal led to a catastrophic uterine collapse, resulting in septic shock, from which she is still recuperating. Her harrowing experience is not isolated. Taking a courageous stand, Zurawski challenged these laws in court with the help of attorney Molly Duane, supported by 21 other women who had also endured severe health repercussions due to the state's restrictive regulations.
