The New Greatness Case (2022)

Plot

Anya, a typical teenager from Moscow, stumbles upon an online chat group where members discuss various topics, from animals to pressing social issues. The group is infiltrated by Ruslan D, who organizes in-person meetings and subtly guides the youths toward political activism against Putin's regime. Under the guise of support, he secretly films their discussions and later provides the footage to authorities. This leads to police raids, arresting the teens on serious charges. Over three years of legal turmoil, Anya's mother evolves from a staunch Putin supporter to a determined activist. Director Anna Shishova captures this gripping transformation while exposing Ruslan D's true motives.
