Plot
In October 1989, the Kreuzberg neighborhood of SO 36 in West Berlin had been isolated by the Wall for nearly three decades, fostering a laid-back scene filled with students, artists, and barflies amidst decaying buildings. Among them is Frank, known as 'Herr Lehmann' to his friends and customers. He spends his days drinking and shows little interest in life beyond SO 36, while casually engaging in a romance with cook Katrin. However, his easygoing existence begins to unravel when his parents visit, his relationship with Katrin becomes complicated, and his best friend Karl starts behaving oddly. Meanwhile, tensions rise across the Wall.
