Plot

Aishe, a Uyghur woman raised by her military father, moves to New York City and ends up working in the hidden kitchens of Chinatown. There, she crosses paths with Skinner, a young American soldier back from three tours in the Middle East. As their romance blossoms, they come to realize that they might have the chance to build a brighter future together, far beyond the lonely lives they had each expected for themselves.
