Plot

The spaceship USS Palomino is on its way back to Earth after an unsuccessful 18-month expedition for alien life when the crew stumbles upon the seemingly abandoned USS Cygnus, which is suspended near a black hole. Commanded by the enigmatic Dr. Hans Reinhardt and his fearsome robotic assistant, the crew initially marvels at the Cygnus' eerie endurance against the black hole's gravitational pull. However, their fascination quickly transforms into terror as they unravel Reinhardt's dark intentions, revealing a sinister reality hidden within the ship.
