Plot

April's homecoming to Toronto brings her face to face with family secrets as she supports her sister, Sara, in caring for their ailing mother. While Sara delves into the music of Erik Satie, she forms a bond with Erik, a homeless man who may hold ties to their mother's romantic history. Meanwhile, April grapples with a marriage proposal from Oscar, her long-distance boyfriend. Tensions rise on the eve of their mother's birthday dinner when Oscar unexpectedly arrives from Argentina, coinciding with Erik's appearance, complicating the family's delicate dynamics.
