Plot

Set against the backdrop of a summer day in 1912, retired actor James Tyrone’s family faces a tumultuous struggle. His wife, Mary, battles a debilitating morphine addiction, while their youngest son, Edmund, deals with illness. Meanwhile, the older son, Jamie, succumbs to alcoholism and reckless behavior.
