Plot
At the bustling corner of Schönhauser Allee in East Berlin, a group of young friends navigates the complexities of adolescence. Dieter, a construction worker, finds himself infatuated with Angela, who seeks solace among her peers while her mother is preoccupied with a new relationship. Meanwhile, "Kohle" avoids his home life, troubled by his father's drinking, and Karl-Heinz heads down a path of petty crime. Their shared passion for Western music marks them as misfits. Tensions escalate when an unexpected event forces Dieter and "Kohle" to flee to West Germany, altering their lives forever.
