Plot

Emma, a budding sound designer in Los Angeles, earns a living crafting sound effects for adult films. Meanwhile, Barkley has covertly quit her Master’s program, maintaining the facade to shield her Polish immigrant family from disappointment. Rachel, an exceptional elementary school teacher, grapples with a hollow existence outside of her classroom. When they discover Emma's parents have discarded her abandoned boat project, the trio embarks on a journey to rural Maryland. As they work to restore the boat, they learn valuable life lessons from each other and quirky locals, navigating the challenges of dreams versus reality.
