Plot

A lone traveler arrives in a troubled town in search of his estranged wife, only to discover she’s managing a group of young women. The community, plagued by fear, cowers under the invisible grip of a ruthless landowner, whose unruly henchmen enforce his will. Recognizing the town's desperation, the stranger, a professional mediator, takes on a $500 job to restore order. As tensions rise, he must confront both the local sheriff's cowardice and the looming threat of the landowner's enforcers to reclaim not only the town's peace but also a chance at rekindling his past.
