What Am I Doing in the Middle of the Revolution? (1972)
Plot
At the dawn of the 20th century, Italian actor Guido Guidi, more passionate than skilled, embarks on a tour through Texas with his theater group. They receive an irresistible proposal from the enigmatic, wealthy Peppino Garibaldi: a lucrative opportunity to perform "Richard III" in the Mexican city of Vera Cruz. However, Peppino's true intentions lie in supporting “La Revolución” and General Carasco, who plans to use the premiere as a distraction for a raid against Comandante Zapata. Soon, the Mexican Army arrives with cannons, forcing Guidi and Padre Albino, another Italian, to flee. In a twist of fate, they save Carasco from execution. While Carasco continues his revolutionary pursuits, Guidi and Albino embark on a chaotic journey through war-torn Mexico, encountering both allies and adversaries along the way.
