Plot

Simon Geist, living in a mundane suburb of Los Angeles, takes a stand against contemporary pop culture with the support of his platonic friend Darla. He launches a provocative magazine, "The Next Big Thing," aiming to challenge and critique emerging actors, comedians, models, and musicians. As Geist's enigmatic Underground Agenda intensifies, he grapples with the possibility of becoming the ultimate trendsetter or being consumed by the very culture he despises.
