Plot
Dr. Henry Wiese heads to the Afghan front, leaving his wife Helen, also a doctor, behind, as she threatens divorce. Their young son Samuel 'Sammi' becomes inseparable from his hamster, Raffi, a gift from his father. When Raffi is accidentally snatched by Rocky, a recently paroled car thief, chaos ensues. Sammi’s scheming sister Molly and her well-meaning boyfriend Jochen must unite to find the beloved pet. As Raffi embarks on unexpected escapades, including a TV show featuring hamster challenges, tensions rise, leading to a heartwarming quest for family and friendship.
