Plot
Francois, a wealthy industrialist trapped in a passionless marriage, finds himself enamored with Janine, the wife of another man. He arranges for her to be his mistress, and Janine, pragmatic and self-serving, embraces the arrangement, even after her husband returns from World War II. As the affair unfolds, it becomes clear that Janine's choices may lead to her own downfall, revealing the complexities of love, desire, and the consequences of a life built on deception.
