Plot
B.G. Bruno, a wealthy bachelor and the owner of a thriving greeting-card business in Scotland, is known for his kindness but also for his excessive seriousness. When an American theater troupe arrives in Edinburgh seeking funding for a musical, they struggle to find backers. Bruno, encountering several aspiring actresses, inadvertently allows them to believe he is a newspaper reporter due to a misunderstanding.
