Plot
Vinnie, a socially isolated teenager, struggles to connect with both his peers and teachers. He works as a courier for the local Mafia boss and lives in welfare housing with his mother, Peta Toppano, along with his younger siblings and his mother’s obnoxious boyfriend. Channeling his frustration, Vinnie trains in boxing at a nearby gym, haunted by the traumatic memory of his father's murder and the legacy of his father's boxing career. Encouraged by his music teacher, Sandy Gore, to join the school band as a drummer, and supported by his girlfriend, Gloria, he finds motivation to distance himself from the Mafia's influence.
