Plot
Don Jose, a Spanish army officer in Seville, becomes infatuated with the enigmatic gypsy, Carmen. Their romance takes a dark turn when he learns she has betrayed him with his own Lieutenant, prompting a violent confrontation that leaves the officer dead. Fleeing the city alongside Carmen, Don Jose grapples with his injuries and the consequences of his actions, ultimately descending into a life of banditry.
