Popeye and the Pirates (1947)

Plot

Popeye enjoys a boat trip with Olive when they encounter a pirate ship. Captured by the charismatic yet treacherous pirate captain, Popeye must save Olive from his clutches. He attempts various schemes, including donning women's clothing, but none prove effective until he finally consumes spinach. Just in time, a passing swordfish, engrossed in a Popeye comic, comes to the rescue by delivering the crucial spinach straight from the comic cover. With his strength renewed, Popeye is ready to confront the pirates and rescue Olive.
