Plot

On July 23, 2007, the quiet town of Cheshire, Connecticut, was shattered when ex-convicts Steven Hayes and Joshua Komisarjevsky invaded the home of Dr. William Petit and his family. After overpowering Petit and restraining him in the basement, they terrorized his wife, Jennifer, and their daughters, Michaela, 11, and Hayley, 17, who were held captive in their rooms. What began as a robbery escalated into a nightmarish series of events, culminating in a tragic triple homicide and arson, leaving a community in shock and mourning the profound loss.
