Plot
Reporter Ann Mitchell, facing dismissal, fabricates a letter from a fictitious "John Doe" claiming he will commit suicide to protest societal issues. To capitalize on the sensational story, the newspaper reinstates Ann and recruits John Willoughby to play the role of "Doe." Initially, they exploit the narrative for profit, but as the fabricated philosophy gains traction, it unexpectedly sparks a genuine political movement. What begins as a deception spirals out of control, challenging the ethics of journalism and igniting public discourse on important social concerns.
