Plot

A remote village in northern Fujian is thrown into chaos when a python devours the father of the groom during Dong Wenhui and Qian Xiuchen's wedding. In a desperate act, Dong Wenlin discards the serpent’s carcass on the altar, provoking the wrath of the python king. Rooted in the region's ancient snake-worshipping traditions, the narrative draws inspiration from local legends, such as the popular tale of "The Long Snake Immortal Marries His Wife."
